Growing Companies & Leadship Teams

Medium-sized businesses and organizational leadership

Shelter Systems — 50th Anniversary Celebration Shelter Systems — 50th Anniversary Celebration

A milestone 50 years in the making deserved more than a company picnic. Shelter Systems, a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer of floor and roof trusses, brought in CPC to transform its anniversary into an immersive celebration of the people, history, and craftsmanship behind the company.

CPC led the 8-month engagement from creative concept through execution—developing the event strategy and visual direction while overseeing site planning, entertainment, food and beverage, AV, infrastructure, vendors, fabrication, logistics, and onsite production.

The company’s craft became the creative throughline. CPC conceived custom truss-inspired stage plinths, a fabricated 50th-anniversary logo, and a walkable historical timeline that transformed five decades of company milestones into a physical guest experience. CPC designed the timeline graphics from scratch and creatively directed the fabrication of the custom structures. A six-foot anniversary logo installation became a live-art activation, with a commissioned artist painting the piece throughout the event—turning the creative process itself into entertainment for guests. Even the custom anniversary cake carried the concept through, incorporating architectural drawings and details inspired by the company’s signature truss plates.

Behind the creative was equally substantial production: CPC vetted vendors, conducted multiple site walks, led weekly stakeholder planning, managed production partners and logistics, and oversaw the experience through installation and event-day execution.

The result: a six-figure, single-day celebration that didn’t simply commemorate Shelter Systems’ 50-year history—it turned that history into something employees, families, clients, and community members could experience.
